Shipbuilding Guarantee
A loan to help manufacturers develop emerging markets. Eximbank offers the necessary guarantee to assist local shipbuilders build ships and vessels, as well as encourage local ship owners to purchase from local shipbuilders.
Applicants
- Duly registered local shipbuilders
- Local and foreign ship owners or buyers
Conditions for Guarantee
- Method of Guarantee: Issuance of letter of guarantee or stand-by L/C
- Guarantee Amount: Determined on a case-by-case basis, and shall not exceed 80 percent of the price stipulated in the shipbuilding contract.
- Guarantee Fee Rate: Determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the guarantee amount, guarantee period, and customer credit.
- Currency: Based on the currency stipulated in the trade agreement.
- Security: The applicant should provide bank guarantee, collateral, or guarantor approved by Eximbank.>
