Short-Term Export Credit

Eximbank offers various export credit facilities to assist local manufacturers to expand exports. In order to assist local manufacturers to obtain working capital, Eximbank provides short-term export credit with the following features:
- Eximbank operates strategic plans to enhance the market competition of local manufacturers.
- Short-term export credit integrates the advantages of financing and exports credit insurance.
- Eximbank has sound experience in developing emerging markets and provides valuable country information.
- Eximbank offers convenient procedures for loan application.
Eligible Products
- Products manufactured or assembled in Taiwan, or technical services exported in accordance with government laws.
- Goods purchased in Taiwan but shipped from abroad.
Applicants
Local firms that have obtained foreign L/C, export contracts, or purchase orders acceptable to Eximbank, and the tenor of financing shall not exceed one year.
Credit Amount
The credit amount will be the draft amount confirmed by issuing bank. (The interest expense and other processing fees shall be deducted in advance).
Tenor
Tenor of financing shall not exceed one year from the date of loan disbursement.
Currency
NT dollar, US dollar, or other foreign currencies acceptable to Eximbank.
Interest Rate
NT dollar rate: The interest shall be the 180 days Reuters plus the applicable margin.
US dollar rate: The interest shall be the 6 months London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) plus the applicable margin.
Repayment
To be repaid in a lump sum on final maturity.
Security
The acceptance draft of issuing bank, or the SWIFT notice to confirm payment date of issuing bank.
Any form of security approved by Eximbank
